Hello All!! I'm Sean from Revved Automotive Concepts. We build custom American Muscle cars with late model technology (EFI, forced induction, etc...) and specialize in upgrading the Shelby vehicles built by U_____ P________. I ran into Jenni Shreeves from the Shelby Foundation out at SEMA and she turned me on to the site. Looks like most of you are late model guys from the Team Shelby side but I'm sure I'll see you around the forum!

Just joined today! I'll be looking for familiar names/faces. At the risk of stepping too hard on the pedal, I'd love to hear if anybody had any opinion on my book Go Like Hell: Ford, Ferrari, and Their Battle for Speed and Glory at Le Mans, in which Shelby makes plenty of appearances. (Came out in May.) Very excited to a part of Shelbynation.com!

I really enjoyed the book: moves right along, kept my interest. I'm not quite so picky as some:http://forums.autosport.com/index.php?s=&showtopic=958&view...

Did I mention I've given several copies as gifts?

Yes, I've been hammered on that little mistake. All fixed for the paperback. If the only factual error in the book is in a footnote, then I can say that I didn't do such a bad job! Anway...thank you for the good vibes and for giving the book away as a gift.

Hi AJ

You know my enthusiasm for the book and hopefully for the movie to be sooner rather than later!

Cheers!

I guess I didn't sign in.

I started with the name "twobjshelbys" on what became Team Shelby in Jan 2008 with my acquisition of two Barrett Jackson Limited Edition Shelby GT convertibles. One 5-speed, one automatic. [I loved the color and didn't want the GT500 and also wanted a vert.) We bought two of them. In Aug 2008 I had the Automatic supercharged. In November I brought the second one to Vegas for its supercharger, where it went to the Barrett Jackson auction with proceeds donated to the Carroll Shelby (Children's) Foundation.

At the same auction I bought my Cobra, CS4005LA.

I nose around on lots of Shelby and Mustang and other forums and use the same name everywhere.

My wife (and boomerang daughter) live in Lyons, CO. Living there I get a frequent chance (well, whenever I want to :) ) to go to see the Shelby American Collection (www.shelbyamericancollection.org) "museum" located between Boulder and Longmont. Don't miss this if you are a Shelby Cobra nut. There are no continuation cars there - only the real things - including a GT40. At this moment there is also Daytona Coupe #2299 (number 13) and a hard-top roadster, and other cars, all from Larry H. Miller's collection.

Everyone have a great Christmas and Happy New Year!

Cheers,
Tony

Welcome to the forum..

Its funny you bring up the Shelby collection up in Co. I lived in Highlands Ranch, CO and Castle Rock, CO for 7 years and worked at Ford dealerships the whole time and had never heard about it. Now that I've been in Texas for the last 5 years I've heard about that collection 3 times in the last year. I need to make time to get up and see it the next time I visit.

Note that the museum is open Saturday 10-4 only. I see something new every time I go. Both because new things come in and also because the stuff that is there is so interesting. Look behind the scenes too!
